Hey friends,

As we all use the internet and we are very familiar with the names such as Domain and DNS,But many of us don't exactly know the real meaning and function behind the name DNS.

Today we are going to learn a little bit about the DNS. DNS stands for "Domain Name System". In similar words we can call it as the directory of the Internet. Just like in your phone when you save a contact in the directory, whenever you search for the name the contact will pop up and it will be shown on the screen. Just like this the internet is also a huge directory of Huge number of websites. In the case of internet there are lot of things going behind the scenes.whenever you search an URL, it dials the server and receives the IP address and the details of the site so that you can land on the site as you search for with the help of URL.

Example : whenever you search for a website like www.facebook.com or any other website in the URL bar you will be redirected to that particular page or site. That actually because of the name you entered is the domain name which is stored in a server and it will send the particular IP address to your browser so that it fetch the data from the server and you get the exact result..

The thing you did is you entered just an URL in the browser. Your browser will save the IP address of a site you are searching so that next time you can just directly go on to the page or the site,

But in some cases we will get something like "Page Not found or Page Error".These errors here may appear because the of the change in the Domain name or any update related to the domain or IP address. in this case your browser will fail to fetch the data from the server because of the change in the IP address of site as the old IP address is saved in your browser and so that it is failed to recognize the URL. Sometimes you may be entertaining a correct URL also landing on the unknown site it can also mean that your browser got infected by some kind of malware attack, which can also be solved by some little commands to flush out the malware or simply using a good kind of Anti malware software which can keep your browser clean...
